From the Beginning
In 2016, a new photographer hit the scene in Austin, Doug Douglas. He had relatively realistic expectations of the amount of work he might get as the new guy in the industry. He began to aggressively search out people he could photograph. With heavy usage of social media, and a marketing strategy that called on having recognizable faces in every school in Austin becoming Spokesmodels, his realistic expectations were dramatically off. He had become "the" photographer everyone wanted to shoot with.
In a 9 year period, Doug completed thousands of photoshoots with the general public, aspiring models, professional models, fashion designers, retail chains, boutiques, and events.
In addition to the 40 or so Spokesmodels, he began to offer a model development program to aspiring models who wanted to break into modeling professionally. DX2 Models was born and quickly became a huge success. These 15 models began to have fans and followings of people globally that couldn't wait to see their next shoot. They quickly had a solid list of local, national, and international clients who were asking this team of models to represent their brands in our shoots.

In the past two years alone, DX2 Models have walked in 51 runway shows, been published over 1100 times in global fashion magazines, was recognized in 2021, 2022 and 2023 with top 3 finalists for Model of the Year by the Texas Fashion Awards, and our owner was a top 3 finalist for Photographer of the Year consecutive years.
Our goal is not to have the largest team of models, but just to have the very best models. We believe we are doing that. We have an incredible team, and always have our eye out for the next superstar that will become part of our family. Today we work with 40 signed DX2 Models. We continue to be published in many fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle, Maxim, Forbes and others. Some of our alumni, as well as current models, have gone on to sign with major, well-known, global agencies and are working with some of the biggest names in fashion - Gucci, Armani, Miu Miu, etc. Making It Easy...1. DX2 is your ONE STOP for your modeling needs. Want to schedule a photoshoot, we can provide you with the models as well as the photographer. We all work well together and have a strong comfort working with each other. Instead of trying to coordinate with a model from one agency, a freelance model somewhere else, a photographer, etc., just call DX2 and we coordinate everything for you saving you time to focus on the things that only you can do.

He knows how to organize and plan the show to flow perfectly. And then you'll have DX2 Models to represent you on the runway. We make it easy! DX2 AlumniThe ultimate goal is to develop our models to a world class level where they have the ability to work with the biggest names in fashion. These models achieved Level 4 with DX2 and have made it to the highest level.

It's a very high percentage compared to the bigger named agencies that compete with us.

Doug Douglas Bio
Originally from Dallas, Doug and his family moved to Austin in 2001. Doug owned one of the fastest growing graphic design firms in the southwest. Seeking a new challenge, he entered the corporate world where he did very well for himself in the area of recruiting. Doug rose within the ranks where he won Top Recruiter Awards for 3 consecutive years. He became the Subject Matter Expert on all things related to Recruiting for HR.com and for SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management). SHRM Had Doug rated as one of the Top 5 Experts in the World. After fighting and defeating cancer 10 years ago, Doug's focus has been firmly fixed on helping others achieve their dreams - modeling. He used his talent for photography to open that door and eventually moved into the world of model agencies and fashion. DX2 Models is in their 8th year now. Multiple models have begun with DX2 and worked their way up to the highest levels of modeling in the world. Doug is a Member of the Board of the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative, a 2022 Top 3 Finalist for Photographer of the Year at the Texas Fashion Awards, past winner of Austin's Photographer of the Year, Cedar Park's Photographer of the Year, and in the past 2 years alone, he has been published over 1000 times in various fashion magazines globally.
