Our   Story

In an industry where there are no shortages of options, DX2 has quickly taken the fashion industry by storm. See below for our story and how we have come to be Texas' best fashion models.

DX2 Models - one of the most highly sought after and reputable fashion modeling agencies in the US.

DX2: Doug Douglas

Picture
The founder and owner of DX2 is Doug Douglas. When he was a child, his parents had recently divorced and his mom was working three jobs in an effort to pay the bills, and Doug wanted to attend a private school in Dallas. Financially, this was an impossibility given his family's situation. The generosity of a stranger changed that as he offered to pay Doug's tuition until he graduated. It made an impression on him and he committed to himself that when he was older, if he had the means the opportunity, he would help others as well. DX2 is the result of that commitment as he invests into others and the pursuit of their dreams.

An accomplished and award-winning photographer, Doug decided that a modeling agency was the route to go. His focus is on the fashion industry, one of the most difficult and competitive industries in the world. Over the past 10 years, he has grown DX2 to be one of the most respected fashion modeling agencies in the world. The models he has developed have signed with major agencies around the world and worked with some of the biggest names in fashion. His focus on model development has created a steady stream of some of the finest up and coming fashion models on the planet.

DX2 Model Management is now widely recognized as the best fashion modeling agency in Texas. Although they are a small agency, the routinely are selected by designers, producers, and casting directors at a significantly higher percentage than models from any of the larger and more well known agencies. This should be a model's agency of choice.

The DX2 Differences

Picture
DX2 is not like the traditional modeling agency who focuses more on commissions and gigs than on the needs of the model. Can you imagine entering a swim meet and not knowing how to swim? As common sense as this sounds, we believe you need to know how to model before you can model - but that's not what a traditional agency does. They sign models and then leave them to themselves to go figure it out. As a result, you get models who are stuck in bad habits, limited knowledge and skills, and who often put themselves in risky situations because they simply don't know better.

DX2 puts models first. We provide consistent individual coaching and development every month for every model signed with us. Our models only work with DX2 photographers eliminating the risk of walking into unknown environments and people. We work directly with scouts and agency owners from major agencies around the world to promote our models and assist them at gaining bigger opportunities globally. DX2 is actively involved in the model's career - attending shows and client events to encourage, support, and protect when needed. Developing models to a world class level and then helping them advance in their careers with major global agencies is our goal, THE PRIORITY that drives everything that we do.

There's a big difference between DX2 and the traditional agency. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn't mean it was the best way, or the right way, or the most beneficial way. DX2 has reinvented how a modeling agency should work - benefitting the model.

SINGLE STOP FOR MODELS, SHOOTS, RUNWAY AND EVENT PRODUCTION

DX2 is your SINGLE STOP for all modeling needs. Like most agencies, we can provide fashion models for photoshoots or runway events. But what also makes us unique is that we provide the photography of those models. We've found that by using a photographer that the models are used to, familiar with, and understand, the quality of the shoot is astronomically higher! So we provide it as a package deal.

Doug is also a highly sought after and experienced runway show producer and choreographer. He has experience working with, casting, backstage, or producing Texas Fashion Week, Austin Fashion Week, Dallas Fashion Week, XLR8: The Fashion Experience, Miami Swim Week, New York Fashion Week, and other larger reputable shows. He has worked with HOKA Athletic to unveil their premier athletic apparel line. Doug also has runway experience with the latest trend - immersive technology shows where it feels like you are inside a virtual reality environment and transported to a different place and time. He is extremely qualified and his shows are known for running perfectly.

" It’s always a pleasure to work with Doug and his team. In the almost three years that we have collaborated together, he has always delivered on time and with a high quality of work. If I were asked to characterize Doug, I'd say:  reliable, professional, and an amazing human being.

- Lika Steel / Fashion Designer at Lika Steel
" I have worked with Doug with DX2 Model Management on numerous occasions.  Doug is one of the most creative and professional photographers I have worked with!  He always understands my vision and delivers!  His choice of unconventional backgrounds and outdoor settings always makes his photographs amazing.  I always feel comfortable with Doug and he listens to exactly what I am asking him to capture.  The turn around on his photos is lightening fast with amazing quality.

He manages his modeling team with tremendous class and poise.  Doug's team knows exactly how to work in front of the camera so no time is ever wasted!  The team at DX2 Model Management is respectful and hard working.  I always get the best compliments on my photos and he really knows how to push the mediums with me to get that shot I am looking for!

- Amy Tabb / Fashion Designer at Harry Rex Living & Harry Rex Clothing
" I had the chance to work with the DX2 models at the XLR8 Fashion Show in Houston. It was my first time working with these models and I hope it won't be my last! These girls are highly professional and did an amazing job wearing my designs and showing it off on the runway. Doug, the founder of DX2, also produced the XLR8 Fashion Show and it went very smoothly. The quality of the runway setup, lighting, and visual effects were very well done. I would definitely love to work with DX2 models for future shoots/shows and hopefully collaborate again with Doug to produce my own runway show for my fashion brand.

We limit the number of models that we work with, so for a very small agency with a small number of models, we are proud of the accomplishments that we have made in developing models to get to this level! It's a very high percentage compared to the bigger named agencies that compete with us.

We currently have several other models that we believe will achieve this level very shortly.
